Felony Disenfranchisement

NACDL worked with partners to support legislation expanding voting rights to formerly incarcerated individuals.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed into law HF 28, which restores voting rights to individuals on probation and supervised release, impacting over 55,000 formerly incarcerated people – the largest expansion of voting rights in Minnesota in half a century. NACDL signed a coalition letter, organized by The Sentencing Project, in support of HF 28 and SF 26.
