WHEREAS NACDL has steadfastly called for abolition of the death penalty in the United States;
WHEREAS NACDL proclaims its support for those states, organizations, religious groups, political leaders and citizens throughout the nation who are increasingly questioning and rejecting capital punishment, and have called for a moratorium on executions;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that NACDL supports all efforts to preserve human life by way of a moratorium on executions, and renews its call for abolition of the death penalty.
