Stating NACDL's Intent to Ensure Representation on the Federal Courts Rules Committee

NACDL through its liaison committee with the Department of Justice and its liaison with the federal courts, make every effort to insure that the NACDL is represented on this important body.

WHEREAS the federal courts of the United States has a Rules Committee through their administrative offices which considers, proposes and makes recommendations for modifications and changes to the Federal Rules Criminal Procedure; and,

WHEREAS the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is the largest national organization of attorneys whose practice is focused on the defense of criminal cases in the United States; and,

WHEREAS the current Rules Committee does not have any representation from the NACDL on its membership; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that the NACDL through its liaison committee with the Department of Justice and its liaison with the federal courts, make every effort to insure that the NACDL is represented on this important body.
