SCHOLARSHIPS

NACDL offers a number of discounted and full scholarships. To apply for any of the following scholarships, send a letter of no more than two pages identifying to which scholarship you are applying and expressing interest and the reason you believe you should receive the grant. E-mail the letter to NACDL Director of Events Tamara Kalacevic, at tkalacevic@nacdl.org - or fax it to 202-872-8690. All applications must be submitted before registering for the seminar and received by September 25, 2013. NACDL MEMBERSHIP AND RESERVATION AT THE HOST HOTEL ARE REQUIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS.

Needs-Based Scholarships
: Based on need, scholarships are available to NACDL members for up to 50% off the standard seminar fee of $399. Approved recipients are responsible for the remainder of the tuition fee, which is $200 (all other expenses are not included). Scholarship fee includes seminar tuition and a free download of the seminar materials.

Diversity Development Scholarship Fund: NACDL's Diversity Development Fund is provided to assist minority lawyers to attend the Fall seminar in Savannah; up to five scholarships will be awarded. The scholarships include seminar tuition, admission to all evening social events, and materials. Travel, hotel, and other costs are not included. Consideration will be based on length of membership in NACDL, financial need (though not a requirement), nature of the applicant's practice, and commitment to the criminal defense bar.
