ACDLA Honors Colee

At its recent 30th anniversary and annual meeting, the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (ACDLA) honored Donald Lee Colee Jr. with its Roderick Beddow Award — ACDLA’s highest honor for a lifetime of achievement in the field of criminal defense. Colee, a past president, has an extensive background of outstanding achievement including working with youth services programs for juveniles since 1988. He has lectured at numerous bar associations in Alabama and has served on the ACDLA Board of Directors for several years. This past year as president, Colee worked diligently on legislation designed to reform Alabama’s indigent defense system. The Honorable Laura Petro and Honorable Tommy Nail of the 10th Judicial Circuit, Jefferson County, were on hand to present the award.
