The Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) will present its newly created G. Terry Jackson Friend of the Constitution Award to its namesake, Terry Jackson. Future honorees of this award will be criminal defense private practitioners who take on difficult and unpopular cases.
A GACDL member since 1975, Jackson served as its president from 2002-2003, and was given the organization’s Indigent Defense Award in 1996. Jackson is known for his tenacious fighting spirit and for taking unique, difficult, and unpopular criminal defense cases. GACDL will begin accepting nominations for future recipients of the award beginning in August 2012. For additional information, please contact GACDL’s Executive Director Jennifer Koehler Mackall at jennkmac@att.net or call 404-248-1777.
