Program Summary: Communication with judges and jurors is an integral part of lawyering, and the outcome of every trial relies solely upon our ability to adequately incorporate persuasive techniques to convey our message. Persuasion is the cornerstone of effective courtroom performance, so it is paramount that defense counsel be well-versed with modern strategies and insights in this area. Having persuasive techniques in your arsenal can dramatically sway opinion, and impact the direction of your clients case both pre-trial and in trial. Even before the trial takes place, our clients are pilloried by the media, feared, and despised by society. They are in need of a strong, persuasive advocate who can explain their plight to the world of prosecutors, judges, jurors, and the media and do it convincingly.
This DVD Program will train you to be the best communicator possible when standing beside your client and arguing their case. The faculty are made up of some of the best lawyers and experts in the country will share their skills on how to influence your audience from negotiating with your adversaries, to swaying judges into fair rulings, to making cogent and credible appeals to the ultimate finders of facts: our jurors. You will learn best practices and the latest in scientific research that will enhance your ability to persuade and encourage those who ultimately the hold power, to do the right thing and set your client free.
