
Defending Title IX Cases (2017)

Program Summary: On a weekly basis, case law regarding the application of Title IX in campus misconduct proceedings is evolving. This program will provide a comprehensive overview of guidance from the Office for Civil Rights, as well as emerging principles from litigation across the country. You will learn how to advise students in campus proceedings, how to communicate with the school, and how to protect student clients if criminal charges are pending. Digital and social media issues will also be covered, as well as current and existing legal precedent regarding best practices in litigation arising from student disciplinary proceedings.
