About the Presenter:
John Ellis (San Diego, CA)
John C. Ellis, Jr. is an attorney in private practice in San Diego. He serves as one of five National Coordinating Discovery Attorneys for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, where he provides litigation support and ediscovery assistance on complex criminal cases to defense teams around the country. Before entering private practice, Mr. Ellis spent 13 years as a trial attorney and supervisory attorney with Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. He also serves as a consultant and expert in matters involving digital forensics, cell site location information, and social media investigations. He is a member of the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science's Legal Task Group. He is a faculty member at both the National Criminal Defense College and the National Forensic College, an adjunct faculty member at California Western School of law, and a founding member of the San Diego ESI Forum. Mr. Ellis graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2003.
