Executive Committee

NACDL’s strength comes from shared purpose, principled leadership, and a steadfast commitment to the criminal defense community. The Executive Committee brings together Officers and Board Representatives in service of that mission.

The 10-member Executive Committee is composed of NACDL’s seven Officers and three Board Representatives, advised by a Parliamentarian. NACDL is led by Executive Director Lisa M. Wayne, who works alongside the Committee and the Board to carry the Association’s mission forward.

Officers

NACDL’s Officers provide leadership for the Association and help guide its governance, programs, and priorities. Officers also serve as voting members of the Board of Directors.

Parliamentarian

Appointed by the President, the Parliamentarian advises the Board of Directors and Executive Committee on parliamentary procedure and the application of Robert’s Rules of Order. The Parliamentarian serves in a nonvoting advisory role and is not an Officer or member of the Board.

Board Representatives to the Executive Committee

Three members of the Board of Directors serve on the Executive Committee, broadening the perspectives represented in its work and helping maintain a strong connection between the Committee and the full Board. Board Representatives serve staggered three-year terms.
