Program Summary:

As threats to prosecute voters, election officials, and community organizers grow, criminal defense lawyers are a critical line of defense for the right to vote. This webinar joins defense lawyers who have successfully represented voters facing election-related charges with leading voting rights organizations working to shield voters, election administrators, and civic groups from criminal charges. Together the panelist will explore the emerging legal risks tied to voting and election work, and how defenders can help both before and after charges are filed. Join us for a conversation on the defense bar's essential role in preserving the civic freedoms at the heart of our democracy.
