Whereas, NACDL has determined to created a Continuing legal Education Institute in order to develop and execute NACDL’s extensive continuing legal education program,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Paragraphs D and E of Goal 9 of the Long Range Plan adopted by the Board of Directors on April 28, 2007, are hereby deleted.
2. The following shall constitute a new Paragraph D of Goal 9:
NACDL shall establish a CLE Institute that will be comprised of staff and volunteer leaders of the Association with a demonstrated interest in continuing legal education. The mission of the Institute is to develop and execute NACDL’s CLE curriculum in a manner that maintains the integrity of its programs and status as the premiere CLE provider for the criminal defense bar. The Institute will ensure the viability, efficiency, continuity, quality, and profitability of NACDL seminars by overseeing, planning, and implementing cutting-edge programming to foster excellence and high ethical standards in criminal defense practice. The Board of Directors shall adopt an enabling resolution to establish the CLE institute.
