Felony Disenfranchisement

NACDL worked with a coalition of organizations to advocate for the end of felony disenfranchisement in Oregon.

On April 5, 2021, NACDL signed onto a coalition letter to the Oregon state legislative leadership urging the passage of HB 2366 SB 571, legislation to end felony disenfranchisement in the state, including for those currently incarcerated. This legislation would have made Oregon one of the few jurisdictions, along with Maine, Vermont, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, to impose no voting restrictions on individuals with felony convictions.
