Katherine is the Project Manager for the Capital Case Litigation Initiative. She also serves as Resource Counsel for other NACDL projects, including the Virginia Redemption Project and the Justice for All Grant.
Katherine has spent the majority of her career representing the underprivileged. She worked with the Indigent Defense Commission in Virginia for almost 15 years, where she served as Acting Capital Defender, Deputy Capital Defender and Assistant Public Defender. Just prior to joining NACDL, Katherine represented indigent juveniles in criminal court, and foster children awaiting adoption at the Law Office of Nathan Collins and Associates in Washington State.
