Austin, TX, Attorney Christie Williams Appointed as Parliamentarian of Nation's Criminal Defense Bar

Washington, DC (Aug. 18, 2016) – Attorney Christie Williams of Austin, TX, was appointed Parliamentarian of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) at the Association's 59th Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, FL, on August 13. She is a life member of NACDL and has served three terms as a member of its Board of Directors.

Ms. Williams is currently the managing partner at the law firm of Mills & Williams, LLP, where she practices criminal defense. Before entering private practice in 1999, she was an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Dallas, TX for six years. Ms. Williams has tried over 100 criminal trials in both federal and state courts.

She has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer, as seen in Texas Monthly magazine, every year since 2003, and has twice been recognized by the National Law Journal as one of their "Top 40 under 40" best litigators in the United States. Ms. Williams received her B.A. from Southern Nazarene University in 1989 and her J.D. in 1992 from the University of Texas School of Law.
